A simple yet indulgent cold brew coffee recipe enhanced with Irish cream liqueur and topped with a homemade vanilla whipped cream. Perfect for a cozy morning treat or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee, strong
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Irish cream liqueur (e.g., Baileys)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream, cold
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon (15 g) granulated sugar or sweetener, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of cocoa powder or cinnamon for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Measure out 1 cup (240 ml) of cold brew coffee into a tall glass.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of Irish cream liqueur into the cold brew and stir gently to combine.
  3. If needed, chill the glass in the fridge for 5–10 minutes to keep the drink cold.
  4. In a chilled mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon (15 g) sugar.
  5. Whip the cream mixture with an electric mixer or whisk until soft peaks form, about 3–5 minutes.
  6. Spoon or pipe the whipped cream generously over the Irish cream cold brew.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of cocoa powder, cinnamon, or finely grated dark chocolate on top.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Keep the heavy cream, bowl, and beaters well chilled for best whipping results. Avoid over-whipping the cream to prevent it from turning grainy or buttery. Adjust sugar in whipped topping to balance sweetness with the Irish cream liqueur. Use strong cold brew concentrate to maintain flavor balance. For dairy-free, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and use dairy-free Irish cream alternatives.
