These crispy garlic parmesan chicken wings are an easy, flavorful snack made in the air fryer for a perfect crunchy and garlicky bite. Ready in about 30 minutes, they are ideal for game day, casual get-togethers, or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds fresh chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
  2. In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Air fry the wings at 400°F (200°C) for 20-22 minutes, flipping halfway through at about 10 minutes, until golden brown and crispy with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. While wings cook, mix grated Parmesan cheese and minced fresh garlic in a small bowl.
  7. Immediately transfer cooked wings to the bowl with the Parmesan and garlic mixture and toss well to coat.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Pat wings dry before seasoning to ensure crispiness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow even cooking. Toss wings with Parmesan and fresh garlic after air frying to prevent burning the cheese. For extra crispiness, pat wings dry again after cooking before tossing with cheese. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
