These crispy air fryer pork chops are coated with a crunchy panko crust and finished with a rich garlic butter drizzle, delivering a quick, flavorful, and fuss-free dinner.

Ingredients

  • Bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs (large, beaten)
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Unsalted butter (about 3 tablespoons)
  • Fresh garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs (optionally mix a pinch of paprika and garlic powder into the panko).
  3. Dredge each pork chop in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the egg wash, then press firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to coat thoroughly.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Place pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer without touching. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and crust is golden brown.
  6. While chops cook, melt butter gently in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Stir in minced garlic and let infuse for 1-2 minutes without burning.
  7. Brush or spoon the garlic butter generously over the cooked pork chops. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if using. Let rest 3-5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Patting the pork chops dry before seasoning helps the coating stick better and become crispier. Preheat the air fryer for best results. If coating browns too fast, lower temperature by 10-15°F and cook longer. Flip chops carefully to maintain crust. Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch. Garlic butter should be added immediately after cooking for best flavor.
