These crispy bacon-wrapped jalapeño cream cheese stuffed hot dogs combine spicy, creamy, salty, and smoky flavors for a quick and indulgent comfort food treat.

  • 8 regular beef or pork hot dogs
  • 8 slices thin-cut bacon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers or toothpicks to secure bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, finely chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Using a sharp knife, slice each hot dog lengthwise down the center, creating a pocket without cutting all the way through.
  4. Spoon the jalapeño cream cheese mixture into each hot dog slit, packing evenly but not overflowing.
  5. Wrap one slice of bacon tightly around each stuffed hot dog, overlapping slightly to hold the filling. Secure with a toothpick or skewer if needed.
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs seam side down on a wire rack set over a baking sheet or directly on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning once halfway through, until bacon is golden and crispy and filling is slightly bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Use thin-cut bacon for best crispiness. Soften cream cheese before mixing for smooth filling. Watch bacon closely near end of cooking to avoid burning. Let hot dogs rest before serving to avoid burns from hot filling. Can be grilled over medium heat as an alternative cooking method.
