These crispy crescent roll pinwheels are filled with savory ham and melty cheese, finished with a sweet and tangy honey Dijon glaze. Perfect as a quick snack, appetizer, or party finger food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 6 oz thinly sliced deli ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Press the seams gently to seal and form one large rectangle about 10×8 inches.
  3. Brush the entire dough surface with melted butter. Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper evenly over the buttered dough.
  4. Layer the ham slices evenly over the dough, overlapping slightly but not piling too thick.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the ham.
  6. Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, keeping it snug but not squished.
  7. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the roll into 1-inch pinwheels, about 8 to 10 pieces.
  8. Place the pinwheels cut side up on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes until puffed, golden brown, and cheese is bubbly.
  10. While baking, whisk together honey and Dijon mustard in a small bowl to make the glaze.
  11. Once pinwheels are out of the oven, brush the honey Dijon glaze generously over the hot rolls.
  12. Optional: garnish with freshly chopped chives or parsley.
  13. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Prepare pinwheels ahead and refrigerate covered for up to 12 hours before baking. Use a serrated knife to slice for cleaner cuts. Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet to keep edges crispy. Reheat in oven to maintain crispiness; avoid microwaving.
