These easy mini crescent sandwiches are perfect party snacks featuring ham, Swiss cheese, and a drizzle of honey mustard wrapped in flaky crescent dough. Quick to make and crowd-pleasing, they are ideal for casual gatherings or quick lunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz or 226 g) crescent roll dough
  • 6 to 8 ounces (170225 g) thinly sliced deli ham, folded or cut to fit dough triangles
  • 4 to 6 slices (around 4 oz or 115 g) Swiss cheese, cut into smaller pieces
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for brushing)
  • Poppy seeds or sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Open the crescent roll dough and gently unroll it on a clean surface. If not pre-cut, cut the dough evenly into 8 triangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  3. Cut deli ham slices to fit each triangle without overlapping too much. Cut Swiss cheese slices into smaller pieces to match dough size.
  4. Spread a thin layer of honey mustard on each triangle, just enough to add flavor without sogginess.
  5. Layer ham and Swiss cheese on top of the honey mustard. Fold ham for volume and texture if desired.
  6. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end, tucking in edges slightly to keep filling secure. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush tops with melted butter for a golden finish. Optionally sprinkle with poppy or sesame seeds.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until crescent rolls are puffed and golden brown. Watch closely near the end to avoid overbaking.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm with melty cheese and flaky dough.

Notes

Use a thin layer of honey mustard to prevent soggy dough. Let dough sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before rolling for easier handling. Brush with melted butter for a golden crust. Avoid overfilling to prevent leaks. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking. Freeze before baking for longer storage.
