A warm, spicy, and creamy buffalo chicken dip served in a soft, slightly sweet pumpkin bread bowl. Perfect for fall gatherings, this comfort food is quick to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 large pumpkin bread bowl
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Let cream cheese soften at room temperature.
  2. Cut a circle around the top of the pumpkin bread bowl, about 1 inch from the edge. Remove top and set aside. Scoop out soft interior bread, leaving a 1-inch thick wall. Brush inside with melted butter.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Blend until smooth. Add shredded chicken, ¾ cup cheddar, ¼ cup mozzarella, garlic powder, and onion powder. Fold until combined.
  4. Spoon dip into hollowed bread bowl. Top with remaining ¼ cup cheddar and ¼ cup mozzarella. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until hot and bubbly and cheese is golden. Tent with foil if browning too quickly.
  6. Let cool 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sliced green onions. Serve with toasted bread cubes, crackers, celery sticks, or carrot chips.

Notes

Brush the inside of the bread bowl with melted butter to prevent sogginess. Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth blending. Toast the scooped-out bread cubes for extra dippers. Let dip rest 5 minutes before serving to set slightly.
