Crisp apple slices paired with a creamy, thick Greek yogurt dip sweetened with honey and spiced with cinnamon. This 5-minute snack is perfect for a healthy treat, after-school snack, or light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium apple (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (120g) thick Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons (15-30ml) honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt
  • Squeeze of lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)

Instructions

  1. Make the dip: In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust honey or cinnamon as desired.
  2. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly.
  3. Core the apples using an apple corer or by cutting into quarters and removing the core with a knife.
  4. Slice each apple quarter into 3-4 wedges, about 1/2-inch thick. For a prettier presentation, cut at a slight angle.
  5. Arrange the apple slices on a plate or platter with the dip in the center or on the side.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle a light dusting of cinnamon over the apples and drizzle extra honey over the dip before serving.

Notes

For best results, use thick Greek yogurt (like Fage or Chobani) to avoid a runny dip. Let the dip rest in the fridge for a few minutes to meld flavors. Slice apples just before serving to prevent browning; if prepping ahead, toss slices with lemon juice. Adjust honey to taste—start with 1 tablespoon and add more if desired. For a dairy-free version, use thick coconut or cashew yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
