A creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip balanced with ranch dressing for a cooling, savory snack perfect for game day or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (about 10.5 oz / 300g)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/3 cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper (optional, to taste)
  • Chopped green onions or chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo hot sauce. Mix until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add shredded chicken, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir gently to combine evenly.
  4. Season with salt to taste and add black pepper if desired.
  5. Transfer mixture into an 8×8-inch baking dish and spread evenly with a spatula.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until edges are bubbly and top is lightly golden.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions or chives if desired and serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or fresh veggies.

Notes

Soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Adjust heat by varying buffalo sauce and ranch ratio. Watch baking time closely to avoid drying or burning. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking. For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with jackfruit or hearts of palm.
