A quick and easy deviled eggs recipe featuring a creamy yolk filling blended with everything bagel seasoning for a savory, crunchy snack perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 2 oz (56g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons everything bagel seasoning (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: finely chopped chives or green onions for garnish or mixed in
  • Optional: dash of smoked paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place 6 large eggs in a single layer in a medium pot. Cover with cold water by about an inch. Add 1 teaspoon vinegar and a pinch of salt.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  3. Drain the hot water and immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let chill for at least 5 minutes to stop cooking and ease peeling.
  4. Gently tap and peel the eggs under running water if needed.
  5. Slice peeled eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully remove yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  6. Mash yolks with a fork until crumbly but not powdery.
  7. Add softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, fresh lemon juice, everything bagel seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the yolks. Stir until smooth and creamy. Optionally whip with a hand mixer for 30 seconds for extra silkiness.
  8. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves generously.
  9. Sprinkle tops with additional everything bagel seasoning and, if desired, smoked paprika or chopped chives.
  10. Serve chilled.

Notes

Use eggs that are a few days old for easier peeling. Soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Mix everything bagel seasoning into the filling for full flavor. You can prep eggs ahead but fill just before serving. Store covered in the fridge up to 2 days. Not recommended to freeze. For dairy-free, substitute cream cheese and mayo with vegan alternatives. For a spicy twist, add sriracha or cayenne pepper.
