These quick and easy turkey and cheese roll-ups are perfect for lunchboxes, snacks, or playdates. Made with simple ingredients like flour tortillas, cream cheese, deli turkey, and cheddar, they come together in just 5 minutes and are endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 68 slices deli turkey breast
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Optional: thinly sliced cucumber, shredded lettuce, or roasted red peppers (pat dry)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, or microwave for 10 seconds.
  2. Lay a tortilla flat on a cutting board. Spread a thin, even layer of cream cheese over the entire surface, leaving a half-inch border.
  3. Layer the turkey slices evenly over the cream cheese, overlapping slightly to cover the tortilla.
  4. Add the cheese slices flat over the turkey, overlapping slightly. If using add-ins, place them in a single row about an inch from one edge.
  5. Starting from one edge, roll the tortilla tightly without tearing, using your fingers to tuck and guide.
  6. Wrap the rolled tortilla in plastic wrap or parchment paper and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes (optional but recommended).
  7. Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 1-inch pieces using a gentle sawing motion. You should get about 6-8 pieces per tortilla.
  8. Secure with toothpicks if packing for lunchboxes.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to avoid tearing the tortilla. Chill the rolled tortilla before slicing for cleaner cuts. If tortillas crack, warm them in the microwave for 10 seconds. For gluten-free, use GF tortillas and warm slightly before rolling. For dairy-free, use dairy-free cream cheese and cheese slices.
