This Easy Loaded Buffalo Chicken Dip with just 5 ingredients is the perfect game day appetizer. It’s creamy, spicy, and ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes or microwaving for 10-15 seconds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until smooth.
  4. Add the buffalo hot sauce and stir until the mixture is uniform in color. Fold in the shredded chicken.
  5. Reserve 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar for the top. Stir the remaining 1 cup of cheese into the dip.
  6. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8-inch baking dish and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle the reserved cheddar on top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly around the edges and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  8. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a milder dip, use 1/3 cup hot sauce. For extra heat, add chopped pickled jalapeños or cayenne. The dip can be assembled ahead and refrigerated; add 5-10 minutes to bake time. Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
