A quick and easy fall cocktail combining crisp apple cider, dry sparkling wine, and a warm cinnamon sugar rim. Perfect for brunch, gatherings, or a cozy seasonal treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces apple cider (unfiltered, chilled)
  • 4 ounces prosecco or champagne (Brut, chilled)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (for rim)
  • Optional: apple slices, cinnamon sticks, star anise, fresh rosemary for garnish
  • Optional: ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small shallow dish, combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Stir until evenly mixed.
  2. Brush a thin, even layer of honey or maple syrup around the outer edge of a champagne flute or wine glass.
  3. Dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture, rotating gently to coat evenly. Tap off excess sugar. Let set for about 30 seconds.
  4. If desired, fill the glass halfway with ice.
  5. Pour 4 ounces of chilled apple cider into the prepared glass.
  6. Slowly pour 4 ounces of chilled prosecco or champagne down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles.
  7. Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon sticks, star anise, or rosemary if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Chill both apple cider and sparkling wine before starting. Use a dry Brut sparkling wine to balance sweetness. For a non-alcoholic version, replace prosecco with sparkling apple cider or ginger ale. The cinnamon sugar mixture can be stored in an airtight container for up to a month.
