A festive and easy-to-assemble Halloween charcuterie board combining creamy brie, sweet candy corn, and seasonal accompaniments for a crowd-pleasing party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel Brie cheese (about 8 ounces / 225g), room temperature
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup candy corn (85-130g)
  • About 2 cups assorted crackers (100-150g), mix of buttery water crackers and seeded crisps
  • 45 fresh ripe figs, halved or quartered
  • 1/2 cup roasted mixed nuts (60g), such as pecans, walnuts, or almonds, lightly salted or spiced with cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries or cherries (50g)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (30ml)
  • A few sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish
  • Optional: small Halloween-themed candies or chocolates for decoration

Instructions

  1. Remove the brie from the fridge about 30 minutes before assembling to bring it to room temperature and soften it for spreading. Optionally, score the rind lightly in a crosshatch pattern.
  2. If using raw nuts, spread them on a baking sheet and roast in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes until fragrant and slightly toasted. Toss with a pinch of cinnamon and salt while warm. Let cool.
  3. Wash and slice the figs into halves or quarters. If figs are unavailable, substitute with firm pear slices or crisp apple wedges.
  4. Arrange the board by placing the brie wheel slightly off-center on a large serving board or platter. Surround it with clusters of candy corn, sliced figs, roasted nuts, dried cranberries or cherries, and assorted crackers. Vary shapes and heights for visual interest.
  5. Drizzle honey or maple syrup lightly over the brie and some nuts for a shiny, inviting look. Nestle fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs around the board for color and aroma.
  6. Optionally, add small Halloween-themed candies or chocolates scattered on the board without overpowering the flavors.
  7. Serve immediately with cheese knives and small spoons for honey, encouraging guests to mix and match flavors.

Notes

Bring brie to room temperature before serving for best texture and flavor. Roast nuts with cinnamon and salt for a festive touch. Avoid overcrowding the board to keep it elegant and easy to serve. Store brie wrapped in refrigerator up to 3 days; keep nuts and dried fruits in airtight containers separately. Candy corn should be stored at room temperature away from heat to prevent stickiness. Brie can be gently warmed in a 300°F oven for 5-7 minutes before serving if desired. For vegan adaptation, use plant-based soft cheese and agave syrup instead of honey. Gluten-free crackers or crisp apple slices can substitute regular crackers.
