frozen strawberry daiquiri - featured image

A quick and easy frozen strawberry daiquiri recipe that blends frozen strawberries, white rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into a refreshing summer cocktail in under 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (225 grams) frozen strawberries
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) white rum
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) simple syrup
  • 1 cup (120 grams) ice cubes
  • Optional garnishes: fresh mint leaves, lime wedges, whole strawberries

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: measure 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries and 1 cup ice cubes. Juice one lime to get about 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice. Have rum and simple syrup ready.
  2. Add frozen strawberries, ice cubes, white rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into the blender. Secure the lid tightly.
  3. Pulse a few times to break up the frozen fruit and ice, then blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy. Add a splash of water or more lime juice if too thick.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more simple syrup if desired. Balance strength with a splash of cold water or more ice if needed.
  5. Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with a strawberry, lime wedge, or sprig of mint. Serve immediately for best icy texture.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for best icy texture; fresh strawberries require more ice. Adjust simple syrup to taste. Blend right before serving to maintain slushy consistency. Chilling glasses helps keep the drink cold longer. Experiment with coconut or spiced rum for variations. For a non-alcoholic version, omit rum and add sparkling water.
